*Aihara watched placidly as the room seemed to cave in around him, large chunks of the ceiling pounding into the cramped room, shattering the furniture that littered the room*
"Waaah! What was that for??"
*As the floors above collapsed, time seemed to falter; the falling debris began to slow, and the color seemed to drain from the room until all that was left was shades of grey and gold. A voice screamed from beside his ear, the hot breath making him cringe*
"Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, you baka! What in the name of glittery things do you think you're doing? Just sitting here, letting a common witch into your HQ, while the building collapses around you!"
*Aihara grit his teeth and, turning to Kesshou Aijin (his Zanpakuto's spirit), he let out a vicious growl as he spoke*
"Are you just going to berate me, or are you here to help? Because if it's the first option, then I'm sure you know what you can do with your talk of 'glittery things' and 'common witch'."
"Contrary to popular belief, Kane-kun, not all that glitters is gold. Do you not remember who we are? We are Aihara Kanezane and Kesshou Aijin, Gobantai Fuku-Taichou. Think about it."
*Kesshou Aijin vanished and, as the color filtered back into the world, a smile gently lifting the corners of his mouth. Time restored itself as gradually as it stopped, and Aihara found himself dropping to the floor and raising his hands towards the crumbling walls around him.*
"Bakudo 37; Tsuriboshi!"
*Strings of spiritual energy blast from his hands, forming a net that anchors itself to the walls, catching the falling debris from above. He sighed with relief, choked on the clogging dust, and began to crawl towards the entrance, intent on finding the witch*
