    Rihanna = Bad Role Model

Post by JennyReika on Sat Mar 07, 2009 10:14 am

As a victim of abuse before... I can not stand what is happening and I needed a place to really vent it... and I didnt feel like joining a different forum in which to just rant this one rant...

For Rihanna to get BEAT and have the things SAID to her that Chris Brown said... It is...

    DISGUSTING!!!

For her to be taking this man back, and even THINKING about MARRYING him HAS to be one of the WORST mistakes a woman can make!!!

This is Rihanna's FACE after Chris Brown beat her...

That is the face of a woman, whose head was slammed into a passenger side window... whose mouth was punched so hard, so many times her mouth was full of blood.

She was beaten and punched repeatedly and he even tried to PUSH HER OUT OF THE CAR!!!

He even threatened her repeatedly, telling her that when they got home he was really going to beat her and that she made the biggest mistake of her life by telling her assistant (whom she faked calling) to have the police at her home when they got there...

Now, she has taken him back...

WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE DOES THIS SEND YOUNG FANS OF HERS?!?!?!

Young girls, intelligent girls, strong african american girls, teen girls... they look up to this woman, whether we like it or not, and they see a woman brutally beaten, and taking back her boyfriend who abused her....

Chris Brown is NOT worth it... NO PERSON is worth that, NOBODY should be abused like that and put up with it.

Do me wrong once, shame on you... Do me wrong twice, shame on me.

The problem is, next time she may be Nicole Brown Simpson, and not be as lucky.

    STUPID IDIOT!!!

honestly if she got that beat up and such why is she returning? is she a glutton for punishment?
this is why i hate celebrities they become role models for people and everything they do is watched by the media.
i hate the dramas of their lives and how they affect the younger less sensible audience, especially when the things they do is just for more money or attention.

surely she would realize that that man is bad for her? surely even a retarded brain dead monkey could see that!

First, about the topic's title, Rihanna will never be a role model, just as much as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and others. Once you enter pop culture and you start showing off those shorter than a feet skirts and that it makes 8-9 years old girls want to be like you, I say congratulations, if your proud to be a model, you'Re one heck of a stupid person, and you're not even worth being shown on TV.

By the Way, congratulations Chirs Brown, you made your death sentence by doing this, 100 crazy mafia guys are gonna come at you and try to kill you since they got hired for this...

*applauses both of them... seriously pop culture is BS, nothing more than that

Just because we dont want ppl to be our childrens role models doesnt mean that they arent...

My best friend tried to keep her 7 year old daughter, Lilly, my neice, away from Hannah Montana, but... Lilly went to school and learned all about Hannah Montana, and now she loves her just like all the other girls in her school.

    So... what can we conclude?

Our children like whats popular and what the other kids like...

Sure, we dont want ppl like Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, Rihanna, etc, being our childrens role models, but the fact is they already are the moment theyre put on TV and made famous with their little movies, and their music.

We dont want them to be... but they are.

They see these ppl doing these things, and subconsciously, they take that as theyre allowed.

When I was 17 I used to babysit these 2 little kids... Britney Spears was new... Christina Aguilera, all them... The kids I babysat were Alex, 2, Sydney, 6, and Samantha, 9.

One day the girls were still in bed on the weekend, and the cable guy had come to fix something about the television......

Next thing I know Sydney, the 6 year old, is coming down the steps in a little training bra, and her jean shorts unbuttoned down the front... with her hands in her pocket...

I grabbed her up and I said... "SYDNEY!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING?!?!" and I dragged her back up the steps...

This is what she told me...
"I was at the top of the steps and saw that guy was cute, and the boys at school think that Britney Spears is pretty, and so, I wanted him to think I was pretty"

Which made me think... does she think dressing this way will make her pretty?!?!

    Anyways, the point is...
Girls naturally look up to these ppl because whether we like it or not, they are successful. They are the people that are plastered in front of young minds... while theyre still molding, while theyre just learning how to make decisions...

And these ppl making these decisions ARE the ppl that our children look to, even if we dont want them to.

Think of this...the children that don't like this culture get cast away and rejected, this is the new reality in school, it's a jungle, there are no laws, no matter how people try to put it, there is no justice for the weak, and only the strong can live quietly and peacefully in HS today

At least thats the reality in Quebec, and in a big part of Canada

This is why I don't follow the news and especially why I never even bother to look towards Tabloid Propaganda in supermarkets. The world will never change, in order for the world to change, people have to want to change or else...nothing will ever change. People are always going to be themselves, no matter who comes along and no matter what life they wish for themselves or others. The fact of the matter is we can only guide people along, we cannot force anyone to do anything. In the end our lives are the results of the choices we make.

I really don't care about her personal life. That's her decision, I don't have a violent reaction on it. Her accepting him back means either she loves him or she loves his money or she loves to experience pain XD

And she's never a role model.. if kids think of her as a role model, something is wrong with the parenting he gets.
