Ok, so some of you have seen the thread I made in the mess hall about music videos, and You probably gathered that I'm a big music fan, as well as a fan of visual arts, so what I decided to do next was present to you some openings/endings of various animes which I really like. Now this is by now means an exclusive list; just some cool ones.
the idea of this thread is to share and enjoy them with each other, so if you see that one you really love isn't here, post up and add it on. Also, if you add one, give us the name of the anime and the song if you can. Even tell us a little about it if you want.
This one is from witch Hunter Robin. It's the Opening song "Shell" by Bana.
And to stick with this, here is the ending, called "Half Pain" Also by Bana
This one is the Second ending of Inuyasha Called "Fukai Mori" (Deep Forest) by Do as Infinity.
What would any list be without Death Note? This is the 1st opening called "The World" by Nightmare. I really love the God like image of Light at the end.
This is the 1st opening to the New Full Metal Alchemist. It's called "Again" by Yui, and like her or not, she is very talented.
And this is the 4th Opening to the old Full Metal Alchemist, everybody's favorite "Reraito" by Asian Kung Fu Generation.
And if you can't figure out by now FMA is my fav anime/manga. This is the 2nd ending "Tobira no Mukou e" (The Other Side of the Door) by Yellow Generation. It may look different from what you remember, but FMA was one of those animes that altered endings/openings from the Japanese version to the english.
And here is an old favorite: "Tank" by Yoko Kanno for Cowboy Bebop
I mostly post this because I love the anime, and the jaz feel suits it.
This is another by Yoko Kanno, but it is sung by a Russian Vocalist known As Origa; and in point of fact much of the song is in Russian. (Russian sounds so good in music.)
It's From Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig The song is called "Rise"
And for any fans of Dirty jazz, here is Hellsing's Opening "World Witout Logos" and yes in point of fact, if you understand it the song is total Jibberish.
I'm not sure if you guys ever watched this one, but the Song is called "Stray" by Steve Conte and it's from Wolf's Rain.
This one is the Opening from Claymore, It's called "Raison D'être" also by Nightmare, the same one's that were used for teh first Death Note Opening.
This is the 4th and final (so far) opening of D Gray man, a highly underrated anime/manga. It's called Geikidou by UVerworld.
And I might as well add a Bleach one to the list since it's a Bleach site..lol This one is my favorite so far, "Ichirin no Hana" By High and Mighty Color
And last but not least, one of the best drawn openings I have ever seen, using a mix of post-impressionist styles and Japanese water colors, Blood + 3rd Opening "Color of the Heart" by UVerworld.
These are just what i can think of off the top of my head, so I know I've left stuff off. So come on people add to the list!
