    and oooh, doy, i should really post this list somewhere, hold on (goes to 13th Division archives and grabs her LIST)

    they were actually based on something, but no actually discussed the list with me, so i made a list up for my.. uhrm, beloved Ex-Division.

    shows the damage you caused. it's all based on luck.

    I see. Wow, that is really cool actually. I love the random code, it makes things very very fair.

    Having had a chance to look at what you have done, perhaps mine will not be of as much use.
    You seem to be more advanced along the path I was searching, but I will take sometime to compile my stuff and let you see what I have.

    What I did have that worked was a power ranking system, that allowed for growth.
    I based the areas of a characters ability on the same criteria used in the official Bleach Databook.

    Basically the idea behind what I had worked like this; people completed certian training missions for points. these mission points were used as a currency to buy ability points that would increase their stats.
    Like I said though, let me get it together and I will post what I had and you can feel free to pick through it and see if any of it can be used. This particular subject is something that really intrigues me, like a pet project. Sorry, I'm an old D & D rper..lol

    Ok, I am very sorry and I know that I am double posting, but I said I would put this up soon. Here is the system I mentioned to you earlier. This was the first step in a larger plan for me, but it established what I call base power ratings for a character, and a way to increase those through training and work.


    Ok, here is what I am thinking. I think the best course of action is to use the official Bleach databook to begin our ranking.

    The areas to be ranked are this;

    Offense Power (obvious. Your attack power)

    Defense Power(Obvious. Your defense strength)

    Mobility (Shunpo rate and length)

    Demon Arts (Kidou skill and strength)

    Soul Pressure {specifically control} (Reitsu control. Basically think of it like this; if you have strong pressure control you can damage things around you by firing up your power. Think of the Ichigo/Kenpachi battle. This also applies to how well you can maintian your reitsu during battle)

    Intelligence (how smart are you in battle tactics. Are you a strategist or do you overwhelm your opponent)

    Body Power (i'm dividing this up into 3 sections)

    Sealed: (sealed power)

    Shikai: (shikai power)

    Bankai: (Bankai power)

    Ok now for the test run, here is the Points for each seats Base power:
    to make it simple at first, I am going to do it this way.

    Captain = 3000
    VC = 2000

    3rd = 1500
    4th =1400
    5th = 1200
    6th = 1100
    7th = 1000
    8th = 900
    9th = 750
    10th = 600
    11th = 500
    12th = 400
    13th = 300
    14th = 200
    15th = 100
    16th = 90
    17th = 80
    18th = 70
    19th = 60
    20th = 50

    Recruit = 25


    These base points are distributed across the areas mentioned above and this is where you will start.

    Now, for the other half of my idea:

    I did some quick calculating and here is what i came up with:

    Haji opened his mouth to speak, but the old man simply put his fingers to his lips and pointed up the hill behind him, where a large castle stood,



    As if to say, "go there"...

    Haji got to his feet and began to tread up the long path to the castle.
    He walked for what seemed like miles up the arduous trail, until he arrived before two large doors.

    He pushed them open to find a grand specticle:

    A large room, with marble flooring, covered over by a red carpet that lead up to two thrones.
    There were rows of pillars, made of jade on both sides of the room, and the walls were decorated with many exotic tapestries.
    about 7 feet from the stairs up to the thrones, there was a small tea table sitting on a tatami mat.

    Haji walked up to the table and kneeled down.

    Before him sat two men on the thrones: one was dressed in regal white clothes, with a blue tassel that connected his cloak to his body. A large silver cross dangled from his left wrist, and his flowing blond hair, seemed to shimmer in the candle light. Beside him was a man in a solid flowing dark gown, decorated with many various ornaments. His head was shaved on the top, with the exception of a top knot tied tightly in the back. He had the appearence of a great fuedal lord.
    His hair was of a deep jade color, and he was slightly taller then the other.

    Haji was taken back a moment by the two men....

    The blond haired man was the first to speak.*

    "My name is Genzou... It means "Ghost"...It has another meaning though...it also means Illusion. I am the quincy you draw on... Your cross..."

    *His words trailed off...

    after a moment of silence, the larger man spoke*

    "My name is simple... You will call me Makurayami; The total darkness....I am your Zanpakuto; what makes you a shinigami... I have watched you and shared myself with you from time to time, but I finally feel you are ready to accept the full extent of my power; which I will reveal to you over time...

    When you speak of us as one, you will call us Genzou oyobi Makurayami:
    "The Ghost and the Darkness...."

    Our time now is done, here..return to your world and begin.

    I will tell you no more for now....

    You must search...

    *Hajime realized his time was up.

    He bowed in reverence and rose to his feet; bowing again before as he backed to the doors.

    He opened them and followed the path, down to the old man once again, where the two spoke one last time*

    "Did you find your way?"

    "I did...Now I must return home and begin my search..."

    *The old man smiled*

    "Then look at me in the eyes..."

    *Haji moved to the man's side, peering into the eyes that had opened for teh first time since the two met.

    The eyes were filled with a blackness, like aboid of matter or space, and seemed to be drawing him in....

    He felt as if he were falling...

    He awoke, in the temple his meditation done..

    His incense burned out...

    And before him, on the stand, stood two blades.

    One long Katana, and a shorter blade, a Wakizashi...

    Amazed, Haji picked up the two blades and placed them in his Obi....

    The feel felt natural; something that lingered from when he was alive, but he didn't know what it was.

    He turned and left from the temple...

    He new path, beginning....*

    The mission is then read and graded, and a certian number of points are rewarded, probably between 50 to 100. These are kept as Mission Points
    (MP = whatever). Once someone reaches 500 they are allowed to trade them in for ability points, probably 5. Each member is only allowed to do a limited number of missions per week (5). That way they can only obtain 5 points per week. Now let's see this in action:

    Base Points: 25

    Offense Power: 5

    Now after the mission example I gave above, let's say it got 100. This would be the new look.

    Now after 500 is reached, 5 abilities points are earned, so it would then look like this:

    As you can see the abilities are increased by the new points. Mission points reset and are only logged by individual captians/VC in each division

    I understand that it sounds like alot of work but it isn't. See, all a captian has to do is authorize that a person has traded in points, logging name and date.
    each member is responsible for keeping up with their own info, MP or Mission points and then approach the captian or VC for the trade in.

    Well, at any rate this is an idea I worked on somewhere else, but I never actually put it into any use, so I don't know if it will work. I just thought I'd let you see it just in case anything in there is usefull to you.

    anywho, we did try using the battle system for a spar, somewhere in BD (mod area)

    and we discovered quite one to many flaws aswell, but with this idea, we could imporve it more.. ^^

    i'm going to have to lock this thread soon, if ever i'm going to re create this system haha.

    Well, I just included the basic idea of what I had. My whole goal was a systematic way to alot certain amount of damage to different types of attacks, and a health system; both of which you seem to already have in place!

    Here is something else to add for you really quick, that may add onto this; the basis behind this work was simplicity, in the sense that this system would be easy to pick up for anyone who is experienced in rping, or brand new to it.

    With that in mind, one thing I found that worked best was not to rank each and every move specifically but to determine degrees of attacks or defense, like a low, medium and high system. Combine something like that with your random code, and you got a pretty good system going.

    So far here are some updates.

    Life and reiatsu for Gotei 13 members:
    1000- reiatsu and life - for a captain level shinigami
    950 - reiatsu and life captain for Vice captain level shinigami
    800 - reiatsu and life for senior seated officers 10th-3rd
    700 - reiatsu and life for junior seated officers 20th-11th
    600 - for recruits

    Reiatsu Usage for Shikai and Bankai:

    R = Reiatsu

    For Hadō atacks
    1-20 = 20-30 R

    Other attacks (hand to hand combat, sword attacks etc etc)
    50 flat - Low R level
    50-100 - Mid-low R level
    100-150 - Middle R level

    Blocking attacks

    60 FLAT - Low R level attacks
    60-110 - Mid-low R level
    110-160 - Middle R level
    160-210 - Mid-high R level
    210-260 - High Level R

    -NOTE: Blocking attack is a little higher as to number scaling from attacks because it should take much effort to block one and not get damaged, if lucky you may completely block it and not get any damage

    -Note:Which ever is higher over powers either the attack or the block, but blocks always lessens the damage by the amount that appears-




    Dodging/Evading ++ Counter attacks

    Dodging requires the mastery of Hohō Shunpo

    Recruits - 50-100++
    Junior Seated Officers - 300-600++
    Senior Seated Officers - 500-700++
    VC & C - 700-800++

    In bold are the flat rates which could increase or decrease depending on shinigami hohō training.

    there's no actual maximum number for hoho for it can always be improved XD

    Counter attacks
    (for Junior seated officers and above only)

    Dodging the attacks you may do a counter attack if you wished
    but it could also be dodged and countered with

    Shunpo is Different from reihei so it wont affect reihei a bit
    You just have to use random codes and attack on.

    if your hoho stat is lower than you opponents it wouldn't work so work on HOHO

    Same goes for Bakudō, if you wish to use it properly, train hard on it XD


    Using items like reiatsu pills and Health Herbs
    it is allowed, you may use items but you loose a turn or two, depends on the items conditions upon using them ^^

    i know it's a good system, but for spars, sometimes they need a bit of freehand/imaginative approaches, since there is another aspect you'd need to think about.
    Weak v strong.
    if the attack of either had a base value you'd need some way of considering how this attack maybe better or worse, due to being a weak's attack v strong, there'd be something that'd make the weak attack less than what it is against a similar opponent to themselves.
    There also maybe a elemental aspect, someone who uses one element and someone else who uses another, if they were of same strength there might be a elemental disadvantage for one side.

    you're talking about them having 100-250 reiatsu usage for each skill.
    that means a maximum of 10 attacks per fight?
    is that part too still being talked about?
    I do like the idea infact i suggested it for another forum which at one point i was almost a Co-owner.
    But the forum didn't go too well and it just died i think.

    Yeah, thats still being discussed upon, but no one actually suggests anything, and this is just an optional battle system, its not really gonna be implemented, unless its perfected.

    the max Reiatsu and Life is still not final, that 1,000 on captain will still change XD
